Welcome! On behalf of the congregation of Calvary Episcopal Church,
we welcome you to our online community. As you navigate through
this site, we ask God’s blessings on your search for a loving
community of faith to call home.
Faith in God isn’t something we can manufacture. Faith in God isn’t
like belief in the Tooth Fairy or Leprechauns, but is a gift God gives.
Through experience, faith is made real. Each time we come together
as a community, we experience God. As Christians, we know God
through the person and work of Jesus Christ. As his disciples, we
imitate him by welcoming all, loving people just as they are without
condition, and making other disciples.
Calvary is made up of real people dealing with real problems in the
real world. We don’t put on airs and pretend to be something we’re
not. We’re ordinary people doing the best we can in often times
extraordinary circumstances.
Calvary is rooted in authentic Christianity. The center of all that we do
and say is found in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Baptism is the sign that marks us as Christ’s own forever. The
sacraments of bread and wine unite us at the table of God’s
goodness where differing opinions and divisions cease.
Calvary proclaims a message that is relevant to our lives in the here
and now. Jesus came to take away our sins, not our intellect. The
faith we share applies to how we live, how we raise our children, and
how we navigate an ever increasingly complex world. By no means,
do we claim to have the answers; but together, we search them out
within community.
The best way to experience Calvary is in person. We invite you and
your family to see if Calvary is the place where God is leading you.
